Aberystwyth Rotary Club
We regularly meet at Tuesday lunchtime in the Marine Hotel, Aberystwyth Promenade with occasional evening meetings
The club functions through five committees comprising of all our members, with everyone contributing to the creation and implementation of an annual programme of activities

What we support
Our 2012 Christmas collection supported Wales Air Ambulance (£1000(, Age Cymru Ceredigion(£1000), KidsOut (£400), Cruse (£100), British Heart Foundation (£100), Salvation Army (£100), Ceredigion Association for the Blind(£100), Riding for the Disabled(£100), and Penparcau Llwyn yr Eos (£100). Internationally we contributed to the World Polio eradication scheme.

Young Singer/Instrumentalist competition 2013
Nest Jenkins, a fourteen year old pupil at Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron, represented the club and Area 1 of District 1150 at the South Wales District Rotary Young Musician competition held at Swansea recently. Nest, an Urdd and National Eisteddfod winner on numerous occasions, won the Under 16 Instrumental Blue Ribbon competition at the National Eisteddfod of Wales held in the Vale of Glamorgan last August.

What we do
We are organise Young Musician, Young Singer, Young Writer and Young Photographer competitions, Transport for Age Concern, an Environment Project, Kids Out, RYLA candidates, Mock Interviews and the Message in a Bottle scheme. Christmas collection donations
The generous donations of the people of Ceredigion were recently handed out to local charities at the Richmond Hotel Aberystwyth. Follow this link to the Community and Vocational Committee minutes to see the full list of how over £4000 was distributed. The president of Aberystwyth Rotary Club Mr Hywel Wyn Jones is seen below with the representatives of the charities following the presentation. Aberystwyrth Rotary Club continues to collect for and support charities that make a difference for local people.
