Aberystwyth Rotary Club
We
regularly meet at Tuesday lunchtime in the Marine Hotel, Aberystwyth Promenade with occasional evening meetings
The club functions through five committees comprising of all our members, with everyone contributing to the creation and implementation of an annual programme of activities
What we support
Our 2011 Christmas collection supported local branches of Macmillan Nurses (£1000), Kids Out (£400), RNLI (£400), Ceredigion Young Carers (£400), St John's Ambulance (£200), Alzheimers Cafe (£200), Age Concern (£100), Aberystwythy CAB (£100) and Penparcau Llyn yr Eos(£100). Internationally we contributed to Mary's Meals, the Chiradzuku Pharmacy project,
and World Polio eradication.

Young Musician 2012

Congratulations to Grady Hassan from Ynyslas, a year 11 pupil in Ysgol Penglais , this year's
Aberystwyth entry to the Rotary District Instrumental competition, pictured receiving his certificate for 2nd place from District 1100 Governor SM Greeves. Grady's programme on the Tuba included works by Vaughan Williams and Jean Baptiste Senaille.
What we do
We are organise Young Musician, Young Singer, Young Writer and Young Photographer competitions, Transport for Age Concern, an Environment Project, Kids Out, RYLA candidates, Mock Interviews and the Message in a Bottle scheme. Olympic torch

See Rotarian William Williams carrying the Olympic through Aberystwyth on Sunday 27 May - William will start in Penparcau on the A487 at 18.28, (6.28 pm in old money), at light pole no. 506223 and complete his run at Felin-y-Mor. Be there to cheer him on - he needs all the encouragement he can get. |
